La casa si trova in un punto strategico per visitare diversi luoghi d'interesse sia naturalistico che culturale, a partire dal vicino e imponente Palazzo Farnese che domina il centro storico.

A circa 2 km da Caprarola inizia la riserva naturale del Lago di Vico in cui è possibile fare diverse escursioni lungo il lago e tra gli splendidi boschi dei monti cimini. In pochi minuti si raggiungono Viterbo la città dei papi e delle terme, Sutri, Bolsena, Civita di Bagnoreggio, Bomarzo e tutti quei borghi che caratterizzano la Tuscia. Inoltre si possono visitare in giornata sia le vicine Umbria e Toscana che le località costiere del Tirreno.

Caprarola and it's famous Palazzo Farnese, is the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding nature reserve of lake Vico, the thermal baths of Viterbo and the ancient etruscan ruins of the Tuscia area. This area is infact rich in wonderful medieval towns like Sutri with it's roman ampitheatre, Civita di Bagnoregio (the ghost town) or Ronciglione and Bolsena with their castles and cathedrals. Lastly, Rome is only a 30min car ride away and the beautiful regions of Tuscany and Umbria can be reached within the day.
